Winter & Spring 2025 Key Events at Cornwall Friends

April:

  • Sunday, April 13thth – Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business 9:00am – 10:30am.
    • *Note* the time change for Business Meetings
    • *Note* Date change to accommodate Easter Breakfast
  • Saturday, April 19th, – Annual Spring Cleanup 9:00am – 11:30am
    • (Date changed due to inclement weather)
    • Friends are invited to our annual Spring Cleanup
    • Attention given to outdoor and indoor cleaning.
    • Some friends will also be working at the meeting house Wed, April 16th from 2:30pm-4:30pm (more friends are welcome to attend)

  • Sunday, April 20th – Easter Breakfast & Easter Egg Hunt
    • Breakfast Begins at 9:00am – 10:15am, then settling for meeting for worship.
    • Meeting for worship begins at 10:30am-11:30am
    • Easter Egg Hunt begins at rise of meeting (usually 12pm) please let us know if you intend to have children and young friends in attendance so we may prepare.

May:

  • Sunday, May 4th – Nine Partners Quarterly Meeting Held at Cornwall (Business Meeting to begin at 12:00noon, Program aims to begin approximatetly 12:30pm) In Person & on Zoom
    • Topic: How we are living our faith in these challenging times.
    • We plan a reflective, structured conversation, helping us to remember and recount our own experiences of the power of Spirit, to share our hopes, fears, and leadings, and to deepen our connections.
    • Friends are asked to bring a bag lunch. Cornwall Friends will provide beverages and desserts.
    • This program aims to conclude by 2 p.m.
    • Use the calendar event above to access zoom meeting link. (Same link as the Meeting for Worship)
  • **EVENT CANCELED** Sunday, May 11th – Spiritual Reading Group 9:15am-10:15am
    • Due to other events planned, and to accomodate Mother’s day, this group meeting will be canceled.
    • We will reconvene in June.
    • If friends feel led to suggest a future reading please reach out to a group member.
  • Sunday, May 18th – Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business. 9:00am – 10:30am.

June:

  • Sunday, June 8th – Spiritual Reading Group 9:15am-10:15am

Winter & Spring 2025 Key Events Outside of Cornwall Friends

April:

  • ART SHOW: One Friend from Cornwall Meeting is having an Art Show in NYC:
    • “Inside out”, an exhibition of recent works by Emily Brown will be shown for four weeks this spring, March 27 through April 23.
    • Drawn from carefully observed natural phenomena, Brown’s drawings allude to a range of social and psychological experiences.
    • Friends are invited to attend the opening reception Thursday March 27, 5-8 pm.
    • Location: Avery Galleries (mid-town Manhattan venue)
      • 14 E. 60th Street (Madison & Fifth Ave), Suite 807, New York, NY 10022.
    •  HOURS: The gallery will be open each Tuesday 10- 4. Emily will be there Thursday April 3, 10 – 4.

May:
