- Saturday, August 23rd – ANNUAL SMITHCLOVE MEETING HOUSE CLEANUP, Begins @ 10:00AM
- Location: 43 Quaker Rd, Highland Mills, NY 10930
- Friends may park on the grass lawn in front of the meeting house.
- Please read the following details pertaining to this location and & event:
- There are no bathroom facilities or running water available at this site.
- Friends interested in volunteering with this event at this historical site are invited to bring any of the following supplies: Window washing (spray/towels), cleaning cloths, a vacuum cleaner, an extension cord, broom or dust pan, a gallon of water.
- Please note that the time & date for this event can be subject to change.

- There will be No Virtual Meeting available at this time.
- There are no bathroom facilities or running water available at this site.
- Please let us know in advance if children will be attending Meeting.
- There is no wheelchair accessible ramp available at this location. If friends with physical limitations are in need of assistance, please contact Cornwall Meeting in advance info@CornwallQuakers.org.

- Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business. 9:00AM – 10:30AM
- *NOTE* – This is the last a.m. Meeting for Worship with a concern for Business. In October, this Meeting will begin starting at 12noon.
- Physical Support needed.
- After meeting for worship, physical support is requested from all abled bodies to help bring down the room dividers for the upcoming memorial service.
- Update Photographs during hospitality:
- Friend Emily B. is working on an ongoing project to update our photo board in the community space.
- She will be taking portrait photographs of friends present during our time for Hospitality.
- Those wishing to update their portrait are asked to have their photograph taken before leaving.

- Sunday, September 28th – Memorial Meeting for Janice Bortree at 1:00PM
- There will be a memorial Meeting for worship in honor of Janice Bortree
- Family and Friends are welcome to attend.

- Listening & Discernment Sessions on Gaza (via Zoom)

- New York Yearly Meeting, under the care of Witness Coordinating Committee, is hosting three Zoom sessions for Friends to listen, share, and discern whether to endorse a recent statement from eight Quaker organizations declaring Israel’s actions in Gaza to be genocide and calling for a ceasefire.

- Sunday, September 7th – Dutches County Quaker Meetinghouse Tours 12:00noon – 4:00pm
- The Dutchess County Quaker Meeting House Tour invites visitors to explore four historic Quaker meeting houses.
- Each location offers free docent‑led tours, educational exhibits, and a glimpse into Quaker heritage and their contributions to social justice.
- Tours are held from 12 PM to 4 PM, on the first Sunday of each month from June through November 2025 (September 7, October 5, November 2).
