Fall 2024 Key Events

November:

• Tuesday, November 26th – Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service at Hope United Methodist Church (formerly known as Cornwall Methodst) (Click on the Calendar Event for More details) *Please note*, there was a change in time on our calendar. The service begins at 7:30, though friends are encouraged to come early to get a parking spot.
• Thursday, November 28th – the United American Indians Of New England will be having a National Day of Morning to Honor Indigenous Peoples and their history. To find out more, you can visit their website.

December:

• Sunday, December 1st – Cardmaking Craft Opportunity:
  • This event is intended for young friends & families, though all are welcome.
  • Friends are invited to engage in holiday card making activities at rise of meeting.
  • Supplies will be made available (Click on Calendar event for more details).
• Sunday, December 8th  – (*EVENT CANCELED*) – Spiritual Reading Group Meeting
  • This group will meet next in the month of January.
  • If friends feel led to suggest  a future reading please reach out to a group member.
• Sunday, December  15th, (At Rise of Meeting. Approx. 12:00pm-1:30pm) – Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business
• Sunday, December 22nd (At Rise of Meeting) – Holiday Potluck – (Click on the  Calendar Event for more details)

Events Outside of Quaker Friends

• U.N.I.T.E.D. Performing Arts Corp, a non-profit organization, presents “Native Voices” on Friday, November 29th, at 7pm at the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center.
  • This event gives voice to the narratives and oral histories of local tribal members through song, dance, and oral history. A day for Native voices to be heard! Admission free with RSVP to info@unitedperformingartscorp.com, donations accepted. Click “Native Voices” to see event details.
• The Warwick Valley Chorale will be having it’s 84th Annual Holiday Concert
  titled “Gloria”. There are 3 dates with different locations:
  • Sunday Dec. 8, 2024 at 3:00 PM @ Goshen Christian Reformed Church, 2440 Route 17A, Goshen NY 10924
  • Friday Dec. 13 at 7:00 PM @ Grace Episcopal Church, 58 North Street Middletown NY 10940
  • Sunday Dec. 15 at 3:00 PM @ St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road Warwick NY 10990
