Fall 2025 & Winter 2026 Key Events at Cornwall Friends
November:
- *Special Announcement* Ongoing until Sunday, January 18th, 2026 – for Clothing Donations
- Friends in Cornwall Meeting are assisting an initiative with local Storm King School to collect Winter Gear.
- This collection supports families served by the Good Shepherd Soup Kitchen
- Items being collected include: Coats, Hats, Blankets, Gloves, Boots, and (new) socks.
- Look for a donation box in the meetinghouse near the front entrance area.
- One friend will assist with transporting the collection to the school.
- Final Donations will be accepted at the meetinghouse up to Sunday, January 18th, 2026
- Sunday, November 23rd – Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business. Begining at 12PM
- *PLEASE NOTE* – This meeting has been moved to the 4th Sunday of November to accommodate the Quarterly Meeting Retreat at Powell House.
December:
- Sunday, December 7th – Cornwall Monthly Meeting will Worship along with NYYM virtually.
- During this Meeting for Worship Cornwall Meeting will not host its typical virtual-zoom Meeting as we will be joining the zoom meeting hosted by NYYM.

- Friends are asked to keep their microphones on mute unless offering ministry.
- If you are in the meetinghouse, and feel called to ministry, friends are asked to stand in front of our zoom portal device, click unmute button when offering ministry, then put the mic back on mute when finished.

- Sunday, January 11th, 2026 – Spiritual Reading Group Meeting. 9:15am-10:15am
- Reading Topic: Selections from How to Fight by: Thich Nhat Hanh
- Suggestions for future readings are welcome, please reach out to a group member if you have a selection in mind.
- This group will meeting will break for 15 min before Meeting for Worship.
- All are welcome to attend.
Fall 2025 Key Events Outside of Cornwall Friends
November:
- Tuesday, November 25th, – Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. Begins at: 7:30pm.
- Address: 1520 NY-94, New Windsor, NY 12553
- Please Note: Restrooms are only available in the adjacent building.
- Refreshments will be provided following the service.
- Monetary Donations are being accepted during a collection that will support the Rural and Migrant Ministries
- Shelf Stable Foods are being collected to support a local food bank in Cornwall, NY. Common needs for food banks tend to include proteins such as canned tuna, chicken, or protient pastas. All shelf stable foods are welcomed.
- An Ecumenical Thanksgiving service is a Thanksgiving celebration that brings together different Christian denominations or faith traditions for a shared worship experience. It emphasizes unity and gratitude, often focusing on themes of thankfulness for blessings, creation, and the bonds of community, while also highlighting the importance of interfaith relations. These services may include prayers, readings, music, and shared rituals from various traditions.
December:

- NYYM Fall Sessions will take place online.
